DNS resolution headaches can be incredibly frustrating -- especially if you're working against time constraints and can't seem to identify the problem. These commands will enable you to view, flush and reset negative entries from the DNS resolver cache.
  1. View: "ipconfig /displaydns |more" (will pause one screen at a time)
This will include entries preloaded from the local host's file, as well as any recently obtained resource records for name queries resolved by the system.

  2. Flush and reset DNS resolver cache: "ipconfig /flushdns"
This does NOT eliminate entries preloaded from the local host's file. Those can be removed manually.
